Short summary of the required skill sets and job role expectations 

We are looking for a dynamic product manager to support greytHR by taking up new integration ideas

and bringing them to life. This will be a key role in our organization as it will be bridging greytHR with

internal as well as external stakeholders while including end-user needs. This means you should not

only be able to own high-level strategic initiatives, but also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job

done. 

 

Job description 

Role and responsibilities: 

You will :

● Identify new integration opportunities based on customer needs and industry trends.

● Own the product from REST API integration and marketplace initiative, keep track of

backlog, drive the integration projects.

● Analyze requirements and support the engineering team to take a business call by

providing BRD, SRS, Rapid prototypes etc.

● Package requirements which are analyzed, reviewed and validated and conduct

requirements presentation for key stakeholders/decision-makers, UX, and product

engineering team.

 

● Support UX team by providing business requirement specifications, design workshop

notes/minutes, knowledge transfer etc.

● Spend a significant portion of your time getting your hands dirty building high value

“second party” integrations for our customers’ businesses use, using both the greytHR

APIs and external third-party service APIs

● Work closely with external Partners, Business Development, Product, Engineering, and

cross-functional teams to coordinate new product integrations and launches, develop

and execute operational processes, and manage on-going integration relationship with

partners

● Manage programs from concept development through implementation and

post-Production support whilst reporting success metrics.

● Facilitate project scoping; identify and track dependencies with external and internal

teams; coordinate and communicate timelines for the development of new integrations

and products; and generate and execute project plans.

● While there are multiple stakeholders involved in execution, you will be the primary

point-of-contact for end-to-end coordination.

● Promote available features across the organization and keep track and revise product

strategy and future direction

● Evaluate competitive market offerings, prepare product differentiation, and liaise with

sales and marketing for the right messaging and positioning.

● Elicit information from internal/external stakeholders, end-users, and subject matter

experts to arrive at complete, clear, correct, and consistent requirements.

● For large or complex customer acquisitions, lead a systematic product walkthrough and

delivery blueprints and thereby help the delivery team to understand and document the

customer requirements and arrive at scope sign-off and acceptance criteria.

● Master greytHR product features, learn new features well in advance, and stay as an

extremely competent user of the software

● Ensure timely and diplomatic communication to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualification & Experience

● A graduate in engineering, science or commerce

● At least 5 years of relevant experience in a software product development organization

● Significant experience in a similar role

● Good technical background, preferably in REST API and marketplace

● Strong grasp of product management in the software industry

● Experience of agile/Kanban product management principles

● Passion for technology including Cloud, Social, Mobile and Analytics in B2B and B2C

● A prior history of working well with internal and external stakeholders including

executives, peers, customers, and partners

● A unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to

make that vision a reality.

● Good knowledge of HR and Payroll practices is a plus

● Experience in tools like Moqup, Visio, Jira, Activiti or any kind of BPM tools

 

Essential Skills

● Defining tasks and milestones to achieve objectives, while ensuring the optimal use of

resources to meet those objectives.

● Listening, probing, and interpreting needs of various stakeholders; stakeholder

management

● Agile methodology practices. Product Road-mapping and roadmap management and

tools

● Must know all product management related skills (use story building, personas,

wire-framing, driving the execution, requirement management, product testing and

verification)

● Shall be adaptable, assertive, and reasonably good in interaction, communication,

reasoning and systems thinking.

● Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work as an individual contributor

and at the same time, enjoy collaboration & teamwork.

● Passion for continuous learning and improvement.

● Excellent oral, written, and listening skills in English.

● Office productivity tools for documentation, spreadsheet, and presentation.

● Presenting product to an audience, in meetings, to stakeholders, 1-1

 

Education and Technical Proficiency:
