Job Description
We are looking for a User Interface Designer to define the look and feel of our revolutionary cloud backup product. You are creative, passionate about design, and have a good understanding of B2B software. You strive to understand your users’ needs and define experiences that match their mental model. Your empathy extends beyond the user and includes collaborating, mentoring and sharing knowledge within your team. You are self-motivated, and a fast and hungry learner.
In this role, you will work closely with product teams to launch new products and improve existing ones. You will collaborate actively with product management, engineering, marketing and the rest of the UX team.
Responsibilities:
Solve complex problems with simple, elegant visual designs.
- Create and evolve a design system that is flexible, scalable, and delightful for users
- Provide pixel-perfect mockups and detailed visual design specifications as needed
- Guide in proper adoption of UI guidelines, patterns among other designers and front-end developers
- Partner with marketing to evolve visual frameworks based on brand guidelines
Requirements:
- 3+ years of visual design experience with strong knowledge of B2B software & applications.
- A passion for creating products that resonate on an emotional level.
- Designed and shipped several products over the course of your career.
- Built, maintained and implemented design systems.
- Well versed with Agile and UX processes.
- Deep understanding of Interaction and Visual Design principles.
- Mastery of Design Tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Invision.
- An online portfolio demonstrating your best work.
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile work environment
Nice to have:
- Experience working with data visualisations
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Ability to create illustrations, infographics and motion graphics
