Rigorous statistical analysis is at the core of all of our digital experimentation and optimization offerings. Our team has built the industry’s leading statistical analysis tool, Stats Engine, advancing and combining state-of-the-art sequential hypothesis testing techniques with false discovery rate controls, empowering our customers to make rigorous decisions using streaming data from their online experiments. Our team explores the application of multi-armed bandits, bayesian analysis, survival analysis, linear regression and much more to core customer problems in experimentation, conversion attribution, and speed and correctness of decision making. The team collaborates with engineering to design, implement and deploy statistical libraries and services. The team also collaborates with customer success teams on customer-focussed statistics education.

As a  Statistician you will:

  • Become an expert on Stats Engine (Sequential Hypothesis Testing) and additional techniques such as Bayesian analysis
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to investigate, design, and implement net new statistical capabilities or net new products
  • Participate in pre-sales and post-sales customer calls to articulate how we maintain statistical accuracy and to triage questions on statistical inference
  • Educate our external (customers) and internal (our customer success teams) stakeholders on fundamental statistical concepts via webinars, speaking engagements, blogs, and white papers.

About you:

  • You have a PhD or 5+ years of experience in statistics or a closely related field such as bioinformatics or applied mathematics
  • You have experience with experimentation, randomized control trials, and inference, particularly aspects of high throughput testing such as multiple hypothesis testing, sequential testing, reinforcement learning, and data mining of experiments
  • You are able to consume state-of-the-art research and translate it’s applicability to customer-focussed business problems
  • You have mastery of commonly accepted computational scripting languages such as Python and R, some experience of large dataset processing tools such as SQL or frameworks such as map reduce, and some exposure to object oriented programming in languages such as Java
  • You have experience in math or statistical education such as teaching, teaching assistantships, conference talks or consultin
