Job Description



As part of Zeta’s Digital Solutions team you will contribute to and lead work with Fortune 2000 marketers to help them optimize marketing strategies and tactics with a focus on digital channels. Using your analytical skills and digital marketing experience, you will help these world-class clients design and execute omni-channel marketing and measurement campaigns to drive better marketing ROI. In addition, the Director will develop, create, train and evangelize new and existing digital strategy offerings throughout Zeta

You have a broad understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem. You can display a solid understanding of industry trends, best practices, performance insights, delivery platforms, and program strategies across email, display and/or social media that can best address common marketing challenges. 

You have experience consulting strategic solutions within matrixed environments and know how to approach solving business problems in a structured way. You exhibit poise and confidence in front of senior clients and can articulate complex ideas with clarity. You're a PowerPoint power-user who can build a seriously good deck and can deliver a presentation with skill. 


  • Strategic consultation: Seek to understand the Client’s business problems and be a trusted strategic advisor to internal teams and clients alike by providing strategic marketing insights, drawing upon the full scope of Zeta marketing services, strategic and analytic consulting expertise, data and technology to solve clients' core business challenges.
  • Business development: Support account growth and new business development.
  • Client interface: A large part of this role will involve presenting and selling ideas to our client in partnership with the account management team. High-quality presentation and idea articulation skills are a must. Design and deliver new workflows, tests, and POCs for clients as well as make recommendations for new use cases and identify opportunities for growth.  Participate in the creation and delivery of customer presentations (QBRs, Pitches, etc.) as well as and leading the client-facing demos of the Opportunity Explorer and Data Cloud Platforms
  • Contact strategies and program planning: Develop multichannel marketing contact strategies, lifecycle marketing plans, and detailed tactical plans guiding proofs of concepts and campaign execution, including segmentation and targeting, behavioral triggers, media tactics and other executional guidance.
  • Digital marketing strategy and tactical guidance: Work with clients to develop, measure and optimize the performance of customer marketing programs across email, mobile, web, social media, and other digital marketing channels.
  • Thought leadership and innovation: Help clients and internal teams understand emerging digital marketing trends, apply best practices and pursue innovations in digital marketing. Foster deep relationships with the client’s technical teams and respect from their commercial organizations
  • Internal Coordination: Establish & maintain internal relationships with adjoining teams to ensure seamless external experience; advise on customer feedback, PoV, and effectiveness of collateral
  • Product Roadmap: Provide guidance to Product on roadmap and platform gaps based on client needs and competitive solutions to ensure greater adoption, usability, and scalability


  • 5-10 years of experience in a client facing digital solutins role, preferably in the digital marketing industry with ad tech and data experience.  
  • 2+ years client-facing experience in sales / business development, sales engineering, solution consulting
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with enterprise-class digital/email marketing and/or programmatic/social media marketing, execution best practices, technologies, vendor ecosystems, and industry trends.
  • Experience managing email, display, social, mobile, search and/or affiliate programs
  • Understanding of customer relationship marketing concepts, strategic frameworks, key metrics, and tactical approaches to driving customer acquisition and retention.
  • Knowledge of customer segmentation and modeling approaches a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality decks and present with confidence to senior marketing leaders.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced setting.
  • High intellectual curiosity, drive, and proactivity.
  • Scrappiness. We don't have all the answers, and from time to time, you'll need to find them.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
