We’re looking for the next rock star to join the BlueCrew and we need a sales engineering leader who gets fired up to:

  • Build and scale a sales engineering organization that can support complex, technical sales processes in collaboration with our account executive team.
  • Be a player/coach in the early days as you build up the org and then act as a hands-on, supportive leader for your team as it grows.
  • Run the team of sales engineers who engage with chief digital officers, marketing technologists, VPs and Directors of Growth, digital marketers, and digital product owners – possessing a varying range of technical aptitude and who own the technology evaluation stage of the sales process with our prospects, from early product demonstrations to structured evaluations of the platform.
  • Participate in webinars, industry events, and analyst presentations, demonstrating the value of our offering.


  • Work hand-in-hand with sales leadership to structure and scale a world-class sales organization.
  • Hire, train, and scale a team of sales engineers and post-sale resources that supports mid-market and enterprise sales opportunities, from qualification to demonstration to evaluation to selection.
  • Implement processes and tools that ensure the high level of quality BlueConic is known for can be scaled with all prospects, including managing the quality of our RFP delivery pipeline.
  • Manage metrics related to sales engineering organization, including RFP win rates, and, with sales leadership, overall funnel metrics.
  • Develop a strong understanding of our sales, onboarding and product delivery process, leveraging resources in Sales, Account Management, Customer Success, Product & Services to ensure customer success.
  • Work closely with the product team to return product feedback to inform future product requirements/enhancements.
  • Pro-actively engage with colleagues in ongoing knowledge sharing and subject matter growth.


  • 7+ years’ experience as a (pre-)sales engineer working with enterprise SaaS product(s) and 2+ years managing or leading a team, ideally in a growth stage business (doubling YoY)
  • Deep understanding of the SaaS sales process, cycle, and supporting methodologies in an enterprise setting.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) and experience that demonstrates technical proficiency, digital marketing knowledge and business acumen
  • Familiarity with at least some of the following systems is a prerequisite:

  • Ability to assess customer requirements, identify business problems, and demonstrate proposed solutions.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
