About the Role:
As the Head of Investor Relations, you will be responsible for strategically positioning Opendoor with analysts, investors and stakeholders. The Head of IR will play a key role in creating the strategy, framework and roadmap for communicating with investors and managing relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-class finance team and build out the function for a company that is disrupting the residential real estate industry.

As Head of Investor Relations, you will:

    • Develop framework that clearly articulates both current performance and long-term strategy 
    • Work closely with the CFO and senior team in order to deeply understand Opendoor’s business and build information feedback loop 
    • Develop, manage, and cultivate investor relationships
    • Analyze and present on market trends, competitive behavior, shareholder concerns, and other factors that may impact the business
    • Oversee and manage quarterly earnings calls
    • Help prepare the company’s annual report and 10-K
    • Coordinate with Opendoor’s PR team to help reinforce Company narrative
    • Hire and train supporting team over time

We’re looking for teammates who have:

    • Successfully run the investor relations function at a technology or, tech-enabled company
    • At least 5 years experience interfacing with investors and a strong track record of developing strong relationships with the investor community
    • Deep understanding of SEC laws and regulations, as well as filing requirements
    • Strong familiarity with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors
    • Ability to operate in a high pressure environment under tight deadlines
    • Ability to communicate (both verbally and written) in a way that inspires confidence in the company both internally and externally
