We are seeking an experienced and talented Cloud Security & Infrastructure Engineer to join our DevOps team, someone who is looking for a new challenge at a fast-growing, digital health startup. This is a unique opportunity to bring your creative thinking that would help continue improving our information and cloud security posture at optimize.health. You will engage with development, DevOps, SecOps and the entire organization to drive and shape the way we manage the protection of our customers and our ever growing data environment. Your role will increase our organization's ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity, evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes.
 
Successful applicants will have a passion for problem-solving, teamwork, and delivering excellent results. This role requires strategic, integrated thinking along with technical experience working with a variety of technologies and tools that demonstrate advanced knowledge in offensive security capacity, as well as developing tests for our internal and external facing processes and applications. This position will be tasked with developing test plans to validate identified vulnerabilities and demonstrate the exploitation of the vulnerabilities. the ability to explain to senior level management is key to success in this role. additionally, staying current with trends, techniques and tools used by attackers are critical for this role.
 

Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Cyber Security (or related field) OR equivalent working experience
    • In lieu of a formal “degreed” education, an equivalent combination of experience would meet this requirement
    • Security certification such as CCSP, OSCP, OSWP, AWS, GPEN or similar certification a plus
    • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Information Security
    • Scripting/programming skills (Perl, Python, PowerShell) and strong ethical hacking skills
    • Experience running an Offensive Security team or being a senior member of an Offensive Security team

Must have Skills:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • The position requires individual initiative and ability to influence events, rather than passively accepting them, in order to achieve goals. This means being proactive and a self-starter and going beyond specific job responsibilities to ensure goals are achieved or exceeded
    • Footprinting networks and systems
    • Using security tools like NMAP, DirBuster, Nikto, OWASP-ZAP, SQLMap, John The Ripper, WireShark, EtterCap, AirCrack, NetCat, Burp Suite, Samurai, Kali Linux, Empire, MetaSpoit, Cobalt Strike and similar tools
    • Expertise in Web Application testing is preferred
    • Create penetration testing projects for optimize.health’s stable of Web Applications and participate in remediation and validation efforts
    • Conduct threat hunting across the optimize.health systems
    • Develop routine monthly and quarterly tests of the optimize.health infrastructure to assist in maturing our security posture
    • Primary lead for new offensive security projects.
