Xignite Winter 2021 Internship Program

Xignite is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated intern with a strong career interest in operations, networking, and automation to work alongside our Operations team. During your internship, you will gain exposure to all areas of Xignite’s technology and product infrastructure, learn AI and machine learning technologies, see API and AWS cloud delivery of financial data in action, and will start to develop analytical and research skills necessary for a career in technology operations.

Eligibility

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree or recently graduated
• Must be available to work remotely for up to 5 weeks between January - March 2021
• Must commit to working 5-10 hours per week
• Must have access to a computer and Internet service
• Interns will be compensated with an hourly wage and a reimbursement for Internet service
• At the successful completion of the internship, you will receive a letter of recommendation and Certificate of Completion

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating automation scripts to help the Operations team with day to day activities including: 
  • Data quality scan
  • Fine-tuning the monitoring tools
  • Queries for better and efficient alert reporting
  • Infrastructure updates
  • Operational maintenance
• Learn the basics of financial markets and APIs data delivery
• Build data quality tools leveraging AI/machine learning technologies 

Requirements

• Inherent interest in a career in operations, networking, and automation.
• Basic proficiency with Python or query language(s) such as SQL preferred.
• Great communication skills
