Job Description

We have built the first AIoT based predictive maintenance system for railway infrastructure. As an Account Director - Italy and Spain at KONUX, you will focus on railway customers in your target market. You will be responsible for growing the business and managing the client relationships within your accounts at different levels across each organization, defining and executing sales strategies, and managing and winning contracts. As the ideal candidate, you are familiar with the railway infrastructure industry, and you have an extensive personal network in the target market. In this position, you will be part of our Global Sales team and report to the Head of Global Sales. Ideally, you will be based in Italy and work remotely. Your Responsibilities

  • Define, lead and execute account strategy which enables a successful Go-to-Market with long-term account success 
  • Build direct, trustful relationships with new prospects and expand relationships with existing customers 
  • Win transformational sponsorship at customer executive level,  build a joint transformational agenda to enable high-value sale and growth journey across the organization
  • Demonstrate in depth understanding of client’s future business challenges and suggest customer-centric use cases through KONUX solution
  • Solid knowledge of client budgeting and purchasing processes, lead tendering of sales opportunities, negotiate and close deals
  • Manage public affairs and lobbying towards national and local public entities in collaboration with the KONUX management
  • Work closely with  KONUX teams in a key account setup to ensure project success and expansion of the account

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in selling technological solutions and complex systems to railway companies in the target market
  • Familiarity with the railway infrastructure industry with an extensive network to the state-owned railway infrastructure owners in your target market
  • Familiarity with EU tender processes relevant for stated owned organizations
  • Extensive knowledge of customer pain points and ability to propose meaningful solutions to customers
  • Structured working methods and result-oriented attitude, as well as experience in working with distributed teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian, Spanish and English languages

  • You are not passionate about selling new technologies which is not yet categorized in customer procurement processes
  • You do not have a track record of achievements and an established network within the targeted railway market
  • You are not able to work both autonomously, as well as within a team in a remote-based position
