Job Description

 

WHAT’S THE JOB?

 

We are looking to have a Deployment and Support Technician to join our team.  We’re looking for a person driven by details and a desire to see projects through to completion.  As a key member of our Field Services team, you will coordinate, lead and support installations teams worldwide as they deploy our software service to a diverse customer base.  You know that IP is more than two letters.

 

You may see opportunities to automate and improve internal processes - we'll expect you to tackle them. Post-installation, you'll help detect, debug and remedy technical issues while leveraging your extensive people skills.  You must enjoy working with customers and engineers, bridging the two communities while clearly relaying critical information. You will have the unique opportunity to see 10-100x growth in this role - your ability to manage multiple projects will be a key ASSET to thriving in this role.

 

WHAT WILL I DO?

 

Every day is different at a startup, but the core of your time will be spent:

 

  • Corresponding with our network of installation service providers to successfully and economically deploy our service to locations worldwide
  • Frequently communicate with customers to ensure smooth and seamless implementation of our services 
  • Working on multiple projects while reporting on key milestones and removing roadblocks wherever possible.
  • Working with internal resources to eliminate deployment delays while continually driving to reduce deployment times.
  • Collaborate with our Operations team to ensure deployments are successful and efficient
  • Collaborate with our customer support team to resolve customer issues. 
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments, to ensure best practices are followed.

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY?

 

Our ideal candidate will likely have:

 

  • Amazing Communication Skills in English ( French a big bonus) 
  • 1 - 3 years experience in technical support or solution delivery roles ( New Grads welcome)
  • Basic understanding of IP networking
  • Ability to meet pre-defined SLAs
  • Proven ability to take complete ownership of problems from identification through to resolution
  • Ability to work independently or within a team supporting a network of installers, customers and projects
  • The ability to see how to do things manually and think through automation
  • Very comfortable with scripting and general knowledge of programming
  • Must be able to understand multi-tier system architectures, and have good technical analysis and debugging skills.
  • Ability to travel to the US and/or International occasionally
  • Ability to thrive in a high paced environment
  • Ability to multitask and meet numerous concurrent deadlines
  • Willingness to work unconventional hours from time to time to support business needs
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule from time to time to support all timezones
  • Completion of a criminal record check will be required upon hire 

 

BONUS SKILLS

 

  • Spanish and/or French fluency
  • Experience working with SaaS model
