About the Role:

We're looking for a tech-savvy Director of Host Operations to join the Landing team! Leading our Host Operations function, you will oversee a rapidly growing fleet of independent contractors and manage gig economy operations - ranging from all Host activities, the Host app, to recruiting, and best practices on-the-job. This role will report directly to the COO.

About the Team:

You’ll join a team of talented individuals that are building a startup to improve the way people live and will be able to make all kinds of things happen without limits.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the recruitment, education, and ongoing performance of Landing Hosts in each market
  • Define and measure progress toward operational KPIs over multiple time horizons
  • Ensure that all Host jobs, including, tours, cleanings, and other jobs completed by Hosts are performed at a consistent and exceptional level
  • Own the long-term strategy of Host Operations at Landing, including operational planning, milestones, and implementation of technology
  • Build scalable processes that enable Landing to rapidly expand best-in-class Member and Host experiences

What You Need:

  • 5+ years in team leadership and management
  • Experience with massively scaling the hiring, activation, and optimization of fleets of independent contractors (“gig” workers)
  • Familiarity with app-centric gig platforms and owning the continuous improvement of business technology
  • History of driving data-driven process improvements with quantifiable results
  • Comfort and ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment at a quickly-growing company
  • Aptitude for roll-out plans and implementing new procedures
  • Nice to have: experience acting as departmental advocate and liaison with product and engineering teams
