Job Description

Cape Analytics provides instant property intelligence for buildings across the United States. THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Solutions Engineer on the Customer Success (CS) team, your key roles and responsibilities will center around ensuring an exemplary product experience for Cape’s insurance carrier and real estate customers through supporting internal data analysis processes. While assisting the Customer Success Managers with prospect engagements and value discussions, you will proactively support Cape product offerings within our existing customer base and contribute technical expertise to data science and platform development efforts.
The role will require the ability to understand customer workflows and how the Cape solution is used throughout them. This will require intimate knowledge of the product as well as strong communication skills. Additionally, you will create internal solutions which are designed to help Cape deliver valuable return-on-investment and predictive signal analytics. 

What you'll do

    • Assist prospect and customer discussions regarding the value of Cape’s solutions for insurance carrier use cases.
    • Develop technical tools to enable streamlined insurance exposure processing and customer management. This includes the use of Python, Tableau, QGIS, and Salesforce.
    • Execute training and on-boarding programs to ensure fully enabled customers (renewals, paid trials, POCs and special projects).Maintain a superior customer experience within the Cape product ecosystem, though deep collaboration with Cape’s Product, Data Science, and Platform teams.
    • Work with internal teams to develop training, on-boarding, support, account management, and other related programs to support Customer Success initiatives.
    • Provide on-going user support via in-person, email, virtual/webinar and telephonic customer interactions.

THE SKILL SET

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present to both business and technical audiences.
    • Demonstrated data literacy, including knowledge of fundamental concepts in data science and programming or a track record of learning and applying new technologies.
    • Experience with Python, QGIS, Tableau, and/or Salesforce preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to form efficient strategies and drive successful execution by partnering with and influencing stakeholders across engineering and sales teams.
    • Depth of knowledge in some aspect of the insurance industry is a plus, which could include one or more of the following: underwriting, actuarial, data pre-fill, catastrophe analytics or claims.
    • Deep empathy with customers and an insatiable curiosity about their businesses and critical workflows.
    • Thrives in ambiguity with a hunger for driving impact in a fast-moving environment
May require local or overnight business travel up to 25%.
