About Notion

A new tool that blends your everyday work apps into one. It's the all-in-one workspace for you and your team.

Job Description

About Us:

We make software that anyone can mold and shape to take on every challenge — from taking personal notes to running large companies. We've been building together since 2016 and are trusted by customers including Nike, Airbnb, Slack, Samsung, and more. We're excited to be growing a team as diverse and creative as the millions of people we reach worldwide, and a company where everyone can thrive.

About The Role:

Notion is growing fast on all continents — now with sales leaders in both Japan and EMEA building global customer bases. To fuel this activity, we're looking for a dynamic and resourceful marketing leader who can drive localization and geo-specific marketing efforts around the world. This includes launching the product in new languages, and overseeing the production of assets and initiatives that will drive results in our most important markets.

What You'll Do:

  • Build global and regional integrated marketing programs from scratch, prioritizing specific markets and taking a phased approach to support them
  • Partner with product, community, sales, and communications to launch Notion in new languages and generate brand awareness, particularly among enterprise customers
  • Determine which marketing programs and content should be localized (particularly to support sales), and run the end-to-end process to produce them
  • Identify geo-specific marketing opportunities, and monitor relevant market developments that we can leverage to build brand and generate leads
  • Preserve and extend Notion's brand identity with quality and consistency in new geos
  • Work closely with performance marketing and demand gen to run, measure, and iterate on campaigns that drive both self-serve and enterprise revenue
  • Partner with leaders and members of the Notion community to amplify user-generated content and drive organic top-of-funnel growth
  • Devise and run virtual (and, eventually, in person) events to engage regional user bases
  • Manage localization contractors, and potentially build out a team of regional marketers

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, with strong generalist/full-stack DNA and at least several years focused on international marketing
  • Someone seasoned enough to lead strategy, but who's also excited about rolling up their sleeves and executing for the first 6 or so months
  • Strong collaboration with designers, writers, and community leaders to create campaigns and content that resonate
  • Proven experience driving successful go-to-market launches
  • Past experience taking a brand global while keeping it specific, consistent, recognizable and relatable
  • A solid track record managing agency and contractor relationships to develop high-quality content — exacting standards are a major bonus. Even better if you've managed localization agencies.
  • Proficiency with common marketing tools and the ability to work autonomously to produce events, assets, and all the needed campaigns around them
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Given our emphasis on content, editing abilities are a plus.

Bonus Points If:

  • Fluency in one or several languages other than English. Ideally Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, French, or German
  • Experience managing a distributed team
