About Hungryroot

At Hungryroot, we believe the toughest jobs can only be completed when the most passionate, diverse and dedicated groups of people come together behind an authentic and positive mission.

Job Description

Hungryroot is an online grocery service that delivers modern, healthy food with recipe and meal planning support. Hungryroot’s mission is to help people feel their best by making it easier to shop for, cook, and love healthy food. In addition to offering a curated selection of modern brands, Hungryroot develops its own in-house line of innovative healthy products—like Black Bean Brownie Batter—and is challenging the traditional CPG model by building a customer-driven innovation platform to push outdated American grocery offerings into the 21st century.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with partner fulfillment centers and supply chain team to monitor and improve inventory accuracy and in-stock availability
  • Develop analytical tools to streamline processes around product and recipe development
  • Support the development and ongoing optimization of product forecasting models
  • Collaborate with digital product team on identifying and analyzing supply chain related opportunities to realize the maximum benefit of our personalized box filling algorithm
  • Report on recipe performance, including leading formal category reviews and identifying opportunities for optimization across our recipe offerings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with focus on data science or supply chain management
  • Expertise in Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable learning new systems; experience in Looker and/or Sequel is a plus
  • 1-2 years supply chain or data analytics/science experience preferred; experience with perishable product and food is a plus
  • Ability to use data and reports to make decisions, identify problems and come up with solutions.
  • Detail oriented and able to meet timelines
  • Willingness to dive in with a no-task-is-too-small attitude
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work both independently and in team settings
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A clear communicator with solid written and oral communications
  • A motivated, positive, proactive and transparent attitude
  • Passion for healthy living, brightening people’s days and Hungryroot’s mission

Additional Information:

  • Reports to our Supply Chain leader
  • Competitive compensation + subsidized health benefits
  • Unlimited vacation policy
  • Monthly Hungryroot credit
  • Universal paid parental leave
  • A working environment filled with passionate, happy, smart people
