SparkCognition is seeking a Corporate Development & Strategy Associate to play a key role in the organic and inorganic growth of this company. The Associate will work directly with the Director of Business Development & Strategy and the Chief Business Officer and be involved in transformative projects which include acquisitions, capital raises, large customer transactions, internal product strategy, go-to-market strategy, etc. The Associate must have a strong work ethic and be willing to provide strategic marketing and business development leadership, analytical thinking, strong project management skills, and a fresh perspective to every project. The Associate will have plenty of access to the executive team and be in the thick of projects that will help transform the Company.
Responsibilities
Lead and effectively manage complex business projects from beginning-to-end
Build strong client relationships through effective interpersonal skills
Responsible for all corporate development activities including recognizing potential acquisition targets and executing on them
Responsible for business modeling, new business development processes, strategy and planning, etc.
Market and product opportunity analysis, commercialization of new products, new product introduction process, pricing analysis, competitive analysis, segmentation, brand strategy, digital strategy, etc.
Work both collaboratively and autonomously
Qualifications
2+ years of experience post-undergrad in either Consulting or Investment Banking is highly preferred
Experience in GTM analysis including product market fit, pricing and competitive analysis
Proficient in building high quality strategy decks
Highly proficient in building financial models
Self-motivated individual who will take the initiative to find new markets for SparkCognition products
Must have strong interpersonal skills
Ability to do Corp Dev, Biz Dev, Partnership, Strategy work
Superior quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, project management, and presentation skills
Fast learner for new vertical segments currently not a focus of SC
Prior experience in a management consultant (preference for McKinsey, Bain, BCG) and/or investment banking role focused on technology is a plus
Prior experience in being associated with building technology products is highly desirable
Technical background is highly desirable
Comfort with ambiguity in project work in a fast-paced start-up environment
