Job Description
The Management Accountant will aid and support the overall production of the Group’s Monthly Management results in a fast paced, dynamic Multi-National Organisation.
The appointed individual will take ownership of core responsibilities within the reporting process and deliver these to set deadlines, working closely with key partners in the Organisation (finance and non-finance). Having the ability to produce and articulate robust and accurate results that can be substantiated.
Accountabilities:
- Assistance in production of the Group’s management accounts. This includes ownership and accountability of the figures produced and the ability to present and mange challenge from the Senior Finance members.
- Business Partnering with key department heads / functions to gain an understanding of data flows and activity, to enable accurate reporting and aid financial planning.
- Ownership of relevant P&L and B/S codes producing monthly reconciliations of an auditable quality.
- Supporting the financial planning team through communication of business knowledge and prior performance.
- Production of ad hoc management reporting information for other departments and senior management.
- Become involved with key financial improvement projects as opportunities arise.
- Assistance with interim and year end statutory audit.
Skills and Abilities:
- Qualified or Final Year PQ Accountant, with ability to demonstrate previous experience in a large Organisation.
- Ability to adapt to a changeable environment and deliver to set timescales.
- Good Balance Sheet reconciliation knowledge in a large Organisation essential.
- Experience of working in a multi-currency accounting environment (Financial Services experience desirable).
- Understanding and prior experience of Business Partnering.
- Good systems knowledge (Netsuite desirable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advance Excel skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision taking Ownership of tasks.
- Inquisitive with desire to learn in a complex environment.
- Comfortable working in an ever-evolving environment resulting in continual change and rapid expansion.
