Position
As Director, Platform Biology at Eikon, you will spearhead our efforts to advance and expand the utilization of single molecule tracking in drug discovery. Protein dynamics are a strong indicator of function and our platform will enable novel drug discovery approaches, including going after difficult targets. Along with our biology and engineering teams you will oversee the strategic direction and drive both the tactical execution of our platform and the expansion of throughput and scale of our biological assays. In addition, you will explore and test new assay platforms and technologies that capitalize on our unique team and capabilities.

What you’ll do:
- Build and manage a team of biologists to advance our technology in support of drug discovery
- Drive the improvement and implementation of single particle tracking biology across multiple drug targets
- Explore new and innovative image-based technologies that would provide unique advantage in drug discovery
- Oversee high throughput assay development and compound library screening
- Innovate approaches to advance drug discovery programs in complex biological systems
Key Qualifications:
- PhD in biology or related field
- 8-12 years of industry-based drug discovery experience
- Postdoctoral research experience and a strong publication record in top-tier journals are preferred
- Experience advancing imaging and cellular microscopy technologies
- HTS experience is a plus
- Experience managing a team of high performing biologists
- The ability to communicate clearly and build open collaborative relationships is essential
