Job Description

To continue our rapid growth, we are seeking a talented and highly motivated Kitting Supervisor to join our growing organization. This position is responsible for all operational aspects of the reagent kitting process in a Life Sciences Research manufacturing company with a highly complex technology, extensive product portfolio and a number of strategic collaborations.  The ideal candidate will be an innovative leader with a depth of experience in immunoassay reagent and custom kitting. *This role comes with benefits and an end date of 7/31/21*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team of 2-4 Kitting technicians. Responsibilities include hiring, performance evaluation, training and professional development
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of work areas including maintenance and calibration of monitoring devices, general work center safety and cleanliness in compliance with established Quality standards
  • Work closely with the Master Planner to review kitting requirements and establish priorities, resolve problems, and report results
  • Drive process improvements, regulatory compliance & quality improvement projects, cost reduction efforts and capacity planning
  • Perform record reviews for kitting records and complete Syteline ERP transactions for associated job orders
  • Participate in inventory control and replenishment, interfacing with area managers and other departments
  • Participate in documentation and other process improvements, investigations and resolutions of product/process issues and general continuous improvement activities

Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail, record keeping and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well within cross-functional teams as a team player
  • Must have strong mathematical skills
  • Possess an ability to learn and master complicated concepts quickly and comfortably
  • Strong work ethic with ability to meet rapidly evolving and dynamic business priorities
  • Possess the ability to proactively adapt to rapid changes in business priorities and foster teamwork among employees to maintain high quality standards

Minimum Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry or Life Sciences
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success with leading a manufacturing team in a fast paced environment
  • Detailed knowledge of ERP system, bills of materials, routings
  • Experience with creating and revising process documentation
  • Experience with GMP- or ISO-certified operations required
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Some processes entail repetitive motion and extended periods of time in a standing position

Travel Requirements:

  • <5%
