HackerOne is looking for a Manager of Solutions Architecture to join our team and help some of our largest customers secure their products! This is a perfect role for someone who knows security and enjoys helping others level up their knowledge. The Solutions Architecture team owns the technical experience of our customers. They work closely with our program managers and customers, helping plan, launch, and run amazing bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure programs.
Our team is made up of client facing security experts with a mission to architect and deliver innovative security services that leverage the power of our platform and community. A core function of the Customer Success team, our Architects provide deep and practical security knowledge and consulting to both customer accounts and internal stakeholders. We work directly with our customers to ensure that their bug bounty programs are successful and driving meaningful results for their security teams.

Your Journey at HackerOne

  • Manage a global team of Solution Architects who are responsible for our customer’s technical experience 
  • Lead the team in the planning, launch, and supervision of bug bounty and vulnerability management programs
  • Work with customers of all skill levels, from customers who have never done a bug bounty before, to industry veterans
  • Build processes and services to help customers define scope and a test plan that will give them the results they’re looking for
  • Work with our Solutions Delivery and HackerOps team to create great customer outcomes in Bug Bounty, Advisory Services and Vulnerability Disclosure offerings
  • Develop education and services for our Program Management team on the security issues they encounter while managing customer programs
  • Break down complex security concepts to customers with various levels of security experience
  • Manage the team that monitors the health of our customers’ programs to ensure they are getting the maximum value from our platform and that they’re set up to keep hackers engaged and finding vulnerabilities
  • Use your security expertise to identify and execute on new process improvements, playbooks, and shared tooling that increase program success rate and make salable improvements across the Customer Support team
  • Take feedback from customers and work with product/engineering to develop our product feature roadmap
  • Use your security expertise to provide input to product and engineering on potential new features, prototypes, etc.
  • Support our Program Managers (Customer Success Managers) and other parts of the organization by handling escalations that require technical and security expertise

Who you are

  • 3+ years of experience in a security management role and experience leading and developing teams
  • At least 5 years of application security experience, understand security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities (e.g. OWASP Top Ten)
  • 5+ years of experience in security or compliance consulting or large enterprise security operations in support of a highly technical environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate empathy with multiple audiences
  • Have a track record of delivering technical programs, projects, and outcomes in a highly technical environment
  • Experience with security client engagements, e.g., pentesting, security consulting, vulnerability management, etc.
  • Able to dive into deep technical design discussions, summarize complex tradeoffs and options, and make data-driven recommendations

  • Should be willing to travel post-COVID: up to 20% travel required
