Deal Desk Analyst

About the Position

The Deal Desk Analyst is involved in all stages of the sales process--from customer quoting to order fulfillment--and ensures that field sales team support is conducted in accordance with Qumulo’s policies. This role ensures strong relationships between our partners (both OEM and first party), the field sales organization and headquarters, supporting revenue generation for Qumulo. This is a fast-paced role in a dynamic company, ideal for a multi-tasker who is highly organized, process oriented, acts as an owner, and is driven to identify and implement improvements.  The Deal Desk Analyst role provides a great opportunity to learn all aspects of Qumulo’s business and grow your career in a variety of directions.

Deal Desk Analyst responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, supporting Territory Account Managers, creating quotes, basic project management, order processing, troubleshooting and problem solving, tracking and reporting, sales support, and other assigned activities. The role will focus on the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) geographies but are not limited to such.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for upholding Qumulo’s established business rules throughout the sales process.
  • Act as primary sales support to Territory Account Managers and Sales Leadership in all things quoting and order processing.
  • Track renewals and related documents ensuring opportunities and quotes are set up appropriately and following up with field teams when exceptions occur.
  • Work closely with Sales Executives to structure complex deals.
  • Support Territory Account Managers with Salesforce.com, preparing quotes, understanding products, and data reporting.
  • Order processing of Purchase Orders and resolving order issues with both internal and external contacts.
  • Track orders, shipments, purchase orders, and work with Accounting, Operations, partner staff, and field sales teams to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor the Deal Desk approval queue to ensure quote policies are being adhered to, quote timeliness, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Support sales meetings, ensure data integrity and correct display of data with field teams
  • Review quote and data exceptions with field sales teams along with other sales resources and  follow-up on action items
  • Train field sales teams to help onboard them on existing best practices and new implementations.
  • Act as liaison between Field Sales, Operations, Sales Operations, Finance, Legal, Accounting, and external partner staff.
  • Provide communication and education on current processes and best practices.
  • Answer pre and post sales questions from partners and Qumulo sales teams.
  • Research inquiries and assist internal and external customers.
  • Coordinating requests, escalations, fire drills and day-to-day activities.
  • Assist with rhythm of the business reporting.
  • Ensure the integrity of SalesForce data.
  • Take initiative to accept and resolve issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented with a proven ability to multitask
  • Effective communicator, both in written and verbal form
  • Self-starter and effective time manager
  • Take initiative and act as an owner to solve problems
  • Enjoy identifying issues and proposing solutions
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years Accounting, Finance or Sales Operations experience desired 
  • Previous experience in a high-tech environment is highly desirable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word or Google Docs with strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • SalesForce or other CRM experience, CPQ is desirable.
