Job Description

Job Summary:
The Professional Services team of Abila is looking for consultant to support our Fund Accounting software. As the key point of contact to our Fund Accounting customers, the Professional Services Consultant must be innovative and customer-focused as they manage our client’s consulting and training contracts from beginning to end. The position requires providing high-quality professional services to enable the highest quality business solution(s) for clients using defined methodologies. This role requires strong technical, communication and project management skills as well as the ability to provide consultative assistance to contacts at various levels in the client's organization.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop systems, processes and methodologies to successfully complete a wide variety of customer requirements on our Fund Accounting software
  • Work closely with both sales and development team to manage and process client expectations and delivery dates
  • Meet all goals and objectives to meet or exceed revenue and utilization quotas
  • Be available to accurately answer questions and make suggestions to ensure that the needs of the customer are met. This includes, but is not limited to, providing answers to pre-sales product questions, providing advice and guidance when exceptional or difficult situations arise and communicating and clarifying programs
  • Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, road tours, demonstrations or other public functions when necessary and appropriate.
  • Keep management informed of customer problems, project management status, etc

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Abila’s Fund Accounting software
  • Nonprofit industry experience (Fundraising, CRM, ERP) is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL and SQL scripting a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or possesses equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of software implementation experience is required
  • Experience managing projects against timelines and budgets
  • Exposure to and involvement in some of the business development process with a technology vendor is desired
  • Experience in licensed, hosted, and SaaS environments is preferred
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies
  • Ability to balance day-to-day tasks and decision making with long-term strategic thinking
  • Must have strong project management, execution and organizational skills and be able to work strategically as well as tactically
