A day in life:
Supervises employees of the information technology department in accordance with organizational policies and goals. This position will be located in our Pune Office.

In this role you will:
  • Supports vision for department culture and objectives to align to department goals
  • Provide leadership through direct coaching and mentoring to technical resources
  • Develop and maintain important relationships with IT leaders 
  • Demonstrate good decision making
  • Provide managerial support on all related administrative tasks 
  • Assist tier-II Application Support staff with application issues.
  • Assist tier-III Systems Engineers with hardware and infrastructure issues. 
  • Operate in current generation Windows and Linux environments without significant assistance.
  • Operate competently in an AWS or VMware hosted environment
  • Collaborate, and problem-solve with other departments while balancing compliance obligations with developer demands. 
  • Work with stakeholders to coordinate scheduling of maintenance window staffing.
  • Act as a mentor to new employees and help train and bring the team up to speed on the department's processes and procedures.
  • Look for opportunities to reduce operating costs.
  • Work to further automation and increase productivity when performing repetitive tasks.

  • 4 years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor
  • 1 year as experience as a manager of a small team.
  • Proficient in Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and understand basic office software applications
  • Experience working with Windows Server 2012+
  • Experience working with Ubuntu 16+, CentOS 6+
  • Demonstrate ability to work with semi-technical customer stakeholders in an English-speaking environment.
  • Working knowledge of Nginx load balancers
  • Working knowledge of Elastic beanstalk in AWS
  • Familiar with working on SQL based database systems such as Oracle Enterprise 12c, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL
  • Familiar with automation scripting using bat, bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Other Skills:
  • Good verbal and written communication, organization and follow up skills
  • Good relationship building skills and ability to work both individually and as a member of a team are necessary
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with keen ability to deal with detailed, and sometimes ambiguous, information
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines, lead by example, willing and able to roll-up sleeves and dive into the details when necessary
  • Proven track record building successful relationships and partnerships internally, externally, intra and interdepartmentally
  • Strong client focus with strong collaborative skills
