Roofstock is looking for a senior leader to head up our Investment Services Division. As Head of Investment Services this role will have oversight of the capital raising, investment execution and asset management functions that support our institutional clients looking to expand their exposure to the Single-Family Rental (SFR) asset class.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and advise institutional clients on the creation and execution of their SFR investment strategies based on their objectives
• Oversee a team to execute the acquisition of assets based on individual clients’ criteria
• Lead the Business Development effort to identify, pitch and close potential new institutional clients looking to enter or expand their presence in the SFR space
• Lead negotiations on large portfolio transactions and/or potential joint ventures
• Oversee the build out of the infrastructure (people, systems, processes) to enable efficient deployment of capital and the onboarding of new clients
• Oversee the development of the asset management team to enable the effective management of client’s assets
• Create efficient communication and reporting capabilities, to ensure clients are kept abreast of the performance of their investments in a timely manner
• Work collaboratively with the property management and construction teams to address issues and develop solutions that are in the best interest of the client
• Working with the legal team, you will be responsible for leading the contract negotiation for all new/existing clients

What You Bring With You:

• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
• Significant experience raising capital and managing relationships with various types of investors, including pension funds, family offices, private equity, and other institutional investors
• At least 10 years’ experience in investment management, private banking, institutional real estate investing or financial services
• Experience with alternative asset classes including residential real estate preferred
• Experience building high performing teams
• Ability to work across all levels within an organization and willingness to roll up your sleeves whenever needed
• Superior relationship building and communication skills
