Role
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic protein engineer to join our Antibody Engineering team. The Principal Research Associate with work in a small team setting to support our integrated antibody engineering platform. The successful candidate will have prior experience in molecular biology, protein engineering and flow cytometry. Experience with display technologies (yeast, phage or mammalian) is preferred.
Responsibilities
Support Adimab’s novel antibody discovery, maturation, and production platform through:
- Managing and conducting antibody discovery projects
- Constructing antibody libraries and performing selections
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing antibody characterization data
- Collaborating with colleagues and external partners
Needed upon hire
- B.S. or M.S. with training in molecular biology, chemical engineering, or biochemistry
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of molecular biology, protein engineering, antibody discovery and flow cytometry
- Experience with protein display technologies (yeast, bacterial and/or ribosomal) desired
- Experience with protein sequence analysis and characterization desired
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate, interpret, and present scientific data
- Internally motivated with proven track record of operating independently at the bench and bringing projects to completion
- Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Adaptable and productive in a fast-paced environment
- Communicates effectively and openly with colleagues and supervisors
- Resourceful with outstanding problem solving skills
- Excellent quantitative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
