Sr. QA Automation Engineer
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for validating and trying to break our API’s and workflows in order to make them better and more robust and will take ownership for the quality of the software we produce.
This is a 100% hands-on role working with the development team to automate tests, you’ll be challenged with writing complex integration tests involving several microservices.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Involved in defining requirements & acceptance criteria for new features & then ensuring that the end result meets those requirements before we ship to users
- Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
We're Looking For Someone With:
- Experience working with and alongside a development team within an Agile environment, and a penchant for breaking things and unorthodox thinking
- A deep-level understanding of Software Testing and Quality Assurance
- Experience in API Automation using Javascript preferably (SQL, C#, Ruby, Python, Java)
- Experience in exploratory testing
- An understanding of Open Source automation tools and frameworks, Cypress would be preferable, Selenium, Cucumber also fine
- Experience using Continuous Integration tools (Hudson, Jenkins etc.), version control solutions (GIT, SVN etc.)
- Experience with JIRA – Defect Management and reporting
- An interest to work in Continuous Delivery / Integration
