This is a first hire in helping build out our Monetization and Pricing team at HackerOne. The successful candidate will be comfortable immersing him/herself in data to ensure that customer needs, financial objectives and product requirements are aligned to our pricing approach. You will operate with conviction and partner extensively with cross functional teams to gain alignment and enable execution. 
This individual will be in the Product Marketing organization and will work closely cross-functionally to help lead and drive our global monetization initiatives inclusive of packaging, pricing, feature tiering, and long-term business strategy to power revenue growth. This position is located remotely in the United States.

  • Deliver pricing recommendations that follow a logically reasoned, data-driven approach to achieve strategic & financial goals.
  • Evolve pricing model and drive packaging improvements based on customer value/willingness-to-pay, competitive landscape and business strategy.
  • Communicate key insights gained through research and data analytics to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Develop monetization strategies and help determine go-to-market strategy for new offerings.
  • Conduct hypothesis-driven analyses to identify and quantify pricing opportunities.
  • Transform findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, Sales, Marketing and Finance to build consensus and steer senior-level decision making


  • 8+ years of relevant experience in monetization/pricing, management consulting and business intelligence.
  • Management consulting experience preferred.
  • Experience in Monetization of SaaS products is a requirement
  • Exceptional problem solving skills with the ability to synthesize actionable solutions from quant analysis and qual research that translates into business impact.
  • Strong analytical skills and quant expertise.
  • Experience with primary research (qualitative customer interviews, quantitative market research including conjoint and other robust pricing research) & deliver pricing recommendations that follow a logically reasoned, data-driven approach to achieve strategic & financial goals.
  • Knowledge of monetization economics and design mechanics for subscription services with knowledge of key levers to pull on to recommend a new pricing model.
  • Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior stakeholders and executives.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form great relationships with cross functional peers.
  • Established track record of building a team. You will start with managing one Product Marketing individual with the goal of growing a small team over time.
