The Services (subscription/acquisition/retention) Paid Media Manager will work with the Consumer Marketing team to drive the development, launch, management and reporting of paid media campaigns that generate new subscriptions or subscription upgrades from current customers (hardware and subscription).
Along with the Media Director, you will be accountable for developing campaign strategy and KPIs. An external agency will handle the media buy/optimization execution but this role will be responsible for oversight and internal reporting + integration into the larger advertising plans.
As this is a new part of our business you will be responsible for developing the initial strategy, setting and managing performance expectations, budget setting & management with support from the Media & Business Directors.
Collaboration with internal stakeholders is an important part of the role, where you will work with creative, insights and product teams to test advertising creative, identify emerging audiences and shape the product as we learn what resonates most with customers and prospects.
As a core function of the role, you will establish benchmark CPAs and LTV from acquisition, through retention and to profitability.

Small, 7 person team spread across Santa Barbara, LA & Amsterdam, with agencies in NYC and London
Working across timezones can mean early starts and 7pm finishes. In return a huge amount of trust is reciprocated with personal time encouraged as you have breaks in the day

WFH 6 months, tbd the relocate to Sonos office (Santa Barbara or Seattle)
What You’ll Do
Alongside the Subscription Marketing responsibilities you will also be responsible for:
Managing project timelines and calendars across internal and external teams
Logging creative and paid media plan feedback
Managing budgets and PO requests
What You’ll Need
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in media planning or buying (agency/client side)
Solid understanding of performance media strategies/metrics
Experience in a subscriber services business model is critical, even better if its hardware + service
Prefered Qualifications
Experience working with international markets is helpful but not mandatory
