Job Description
At Mad Street Den®, we are trying to make sense of diverse streams of unstructured data and engineer intelligent products that enable retail process chain automation. We are looking for high-energy generalists for Data Science to deliver theoretically elegant, algorithmically, and practically efficient, well-engineered solutions to hard problems.
Skills we need:
- 1-2 years of experience in engineering applications related to Machine Learning, Data Mining, or Data Analytics
- Good understanding of statistics, models, and algorithms for implementation in forecasting, classification, user segmentation, and optimization problems
- Ability to assess the quality and comprehensiveness of data
- Ability to effectively communicate results/findings through data visualization
- Working knowledge of microservice architectures, relational and NoSQL databases
- Proven code proficiency in Python/C/C++ and SQL
- Strong algorithmic thinking, creative problem solving, and the ability to take ownership and do independent research and development
- Working knowledge of search systems would be an added advantage
- Ability to work in highly diverse and collaborative teams with a product-heavy focus
- Ability to switch contexts and the passion to explore new technologies that might aid the project
- Educational background in any quantitative field (Computer Science / Mathematics / Computational Sciences and related disciplines)
