Job Description

WHO WE ARE:

Incorta delivers the industry’s first hyper-converged analytics platform. We are the fastest way to analyze complex data which powers business decisions in seconds not weeks. Incorta is on a mission to bring quicker, better insights and data-driven decisions to every business. Everything we do is aimed at making sure our customers love every aspect of Incorta, from our great products and technologies to our ease of doing business and support.

As part of the product design team at an insanely fast-paced startup, you will need to be quick on your feet, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills, juggling multiple priorities and projects, fielding internal and external user feedback, and most importantly, advocating for a user-first approach at the company. You are skilled at utilizing different user research techniques to drive your decision making, breaking apart complex problems into manageable user flows, and pitching ideas to stakeholders, some of who may not be familiar with the design process. You will work closely with front-end developers to take your design from concept to implementation. You will also be an integral part of the product team, actively providing insight into feature-prioritization discussions based on user research.

YOU WILL:

  • Work with Product Managers, Development teams and other stakeholders to define problems and translate complex concepts into a clean and understandable solution.
  • Think deeply about influencing factors within the platform ecosystem to create seamless user experiences.
  • Take ownership of design projects, collaborate closely with the rest of the team to bring features from concept to production.
  • Articulate your design decisions and tell compelling stories around how your design solutions solve users’ problems and create delights in their journey.
  • Build wireframes, storyboards, user flows, prototypes etc. to communicate with stakeholders and gather the right kinds of feedback.
  • Occasionally conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform your design strategies.

YOU HAVE:

  • 3+ years of experience in design and a portfolio that showcases shipped products for enterprise and SaaS solutions.
  • A passion for solving problems. You love a good challenge and are excited about solving complex problems using design.
  • A tremendous curiosity in understanding the people using our product and the technology behind it.
  • A super power in a particular design discipline (such as research or interaction) while having great working knowledge of other design disciplines.
  • An obsession for feedback. You display grace and gratitude for feedback and you believe that it is an important way to improve your craft.
  • No fear of playing the devil’s advocate. You always ask good questions to challenge assumptions.
  • Experience using various design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin etc.
  • Clear and concise written skills with the ability to clearly articulate questions.
  • Proven record of working with product management and engineering at all levels.

We could tell you that we’re building something that truly optimizes the way business intelligence is done. Or, that we’re backed by marquee VC's such as Microsoft, Google Ventures and Kleiner Perkins. All true, but the real reason you will want to come work for Incorta is that you’ll be part of an early team that is building a game-changing analytics product that will allow companies to answer complex questions in seconds...not days or weeks like the current solutions.
