SUMMARY / ABOUT THE JOB
At Anduril we are developing unmanned aerial systems capable of terminal guidance, long range intelligence collection, precision relative and global navigation, and unsupervised autonomy. The Test Engineering team works across the entire spectrum of products ranging from Lattice Ghost UAS, Sentry Tower, cUAS and our other platforms. As a UAV Test Pilot, you will support the development and field testing of Anduril’s Unmanned Aerial System products. In this position you will prepare aircraft for flight, conduct flight tests of the aircraft as the test pilot, maintain test aircraft and support the test engineering team during product development. This position will be dedicated a new revolutionary design of a larger UAS from first flight through fielding and beyond.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of RC pilot experience
- Experience with both fixed and rotary wing aircraft
- Significant mechanical experience building or working on aircraft
- Ability to travel 25-50% of the time
- Ability to get and maintain a FAA part 107 certificate
- Significant knowledge and understanding of National Airspace regulations and operating restrictions
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks
- Able to work extended hours as required
- US Citizenship required
Additional Desired Experience (Plus):
- Knowledge and understanding of PID controller
- Experience flying aircraft 200+ pounds
- FAA pilot license
- A&P mechanic
U.S. Citizenship is required as this position needs to access export-controlled data.
