The Corporate Farm Executive role, as an invaluable member of the organization, must have vision, drive, creativity, and interpersonal skills to meet the Company’s financial objectives.  This role will have accountability to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for being a key partner to large, corporate farms and driving awareness, and ultimately sales, of AgBiome’s proprietary products.  This position requires a broad understanding of the business model and the role corporate farms play in the entire agricultural/food value chain.  The ideal candidate has a solid grounding in the crops and farming techniques of the assigned target geographies.

AgBiome launched its first biological product HowlerⓇ fungicide in 2019 and plans to launch its next biological fungicide Theia in 2021.  In addition to these initial launches, the company has a rich pipeline of biological products currently in various Research and Development phases.

The Corporate Farm Executive is responsible for creating and developing annual business plans with target customers, forecasting and achieving sales of Agricultural products to deliver profit and sales goals according to a monthly budget as part of the Revenue Generation Team.  This will be done as part of an integrated go-to-market strategy with the Commercial AgBiome team and will include the negotiation of sales targets, achieving sales at an acceptable margin, and the launch of new products. 

The Corporate Farm Executive position is entirely field-based.  Periodically there may be significant travel to both Customer locations and to AgBiome headquarters in Research Triangle Park, NC.

Key Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Develop and execute the AgBiome Corporate Farm strategy.  This will involve, but not be exclusive to, identification of key customer targets, decision-makers, and critical success factors, development of a robust communication plan and the development of initiatives / offers with the entire AgBiome team to meet the customers' needs.

  • Create, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with customers/potential customers, thereby driving repeat sales and renewal revenue.

  • Arrange joint customer calls, train the channel sales force, attend trade shows, and other industry events.

  • Focus on new technology introduction and demand creation interacting with key personnel within the corporate farm structure.

  • Management of Corporate Farm Account including business planning and forecasting for the Corporate farm and Channel Partners.

  • Facilitate transactions through the channel and to develop business with the channel.

  • Work closely with the Inside Sales Team and the Field Scheduler.

  • Forecast expected AgBiome sales from targeted corporate farm accounts.

  • Collaborate with team members in achieving company results outside of assigned geography when requested.

  • Maintain proper documentation within the CRM tool.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 5 years+ minimum Agricultural related experience

  • In-depth knowledge of all levels of the Value Chain especially downstream of traditional Agriculture Retail

  • Demonstrated insights into future trends and market dynamics of the Value chain

  • Demonstrated experience operating within a sales culture of collaboration, accountability, and teamwork

  • A successful commercial track record of BioPesticides

  • Exceptional customer service orientation

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Exemplary communication skills

  • Demonstrated collaboration skills

  • Strong foundation for strategic and tactical selling of a complex sale.

  • Skilled in G suite and CRM tools (at this time Hubspot)
