Infinera is searching for a qualified candidate to work on new product introduction (NPI) in an exciting ASIC Product Engineering role that is focused on Mixed-Signal ASIC integration with Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) technology integration into a Digital Coherent Optical (DCO) Module used in Datacenter and Telecommunication System Hardware.  As the ASIC Product Engineer working in a vertically integrated company, there will be opportunity to help products achieve industry leading performance through engineering optimization end-to-end (from ASIC-PIC technology through DCO and Line Module).  The position provides a rich learning environment that is highly cross-functional with design, test, controls, reliability, and manufacturing and provides for unique leadership opportunities.  The position is within the Optical Modules Group (OMG) department and is based in Sunnyvale, Ca.

•    Ensure that ASIC requirements are met up to the system level
•    Interact with design, test, controls, reliability, and manufacturing to ensure integration of ASICs into product and applications
•    Perform statistical data analysis on large data sets to characterize and improve the product 
•    Support quality analysis and evaluation of development, proto, and pilot units
•    Support debug of issues and corrective actions
•    Drive improvements in product quality during pilot ramp
Position Requirements

•    MS or Ph.D. in EE/physics, 5+ yrs of experience
•    Experience with analog communications circuits, preferably high-speed broadband circuits for optical communications (such as linear and limiting amplifiers, transimpedance amplifiers, modulator drivers)
•    Experience with mixed-signal architectures and circuits including ADC/DACs and precision amplifiers
•    Experience working cross-functionally to execute NPI through multiple dev cycles
•    Working knowledge of development flow, ASIC design tools and methods, and proficient with circuit analysis
•    Working knowledge of ATE, back-end wafer processing, test data management, and analysis, yield improvement, issue resolution back to the foundry.
•    Proficient with requirements development and support of ASIC users through Dev and NPI phases.
•    Aptitude to work with a large body of data, perform statistical analysis, and present data and ideas to a diverse audience
•    Team oriented with an ability to work cross-functionally
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
