We are looking for a Head of Developer Experience/Developer Evangelism to start and lead a new department on our Engineering team. You’ll be responsible for building a new team while spearheading our new Developer Experience strategy. This role will be a mix of educating and creating content for Developers, marketing EasyPost’s API to the Developer Community, managing open source projects, and re-authoring our client libraries. What You'll Do:
- Create and deliver impactful content (speaking at conferences, blog posts, presentations, etc.) that help developers use EasyPost
- Collaborate with different stakeholders across EasyPost to build out our strategy around Developer Experience/Evangelism
- Provide support and guidance to developers building on the EasyPost platform
- Develop technical messaging and platform architecture documentation describing the EasyPost API
- Contributing to open source and authoring client libraries and coordinating content
- Build out developer-facing documentation and integration guides
- Advocate on behalf of the broader developer community
- Build and manage our Developer Experience team
About You:
- 7+ years in Developer Evangelism, Developer Advocate, Technical Product Marketing, or other public-facing technical roles
- Experience working on technical issues, troubleshooting bugs, and communicating with product management and other business stakeholders
- Management experience with prior track record of starting new teams a plus
- Experience programming with Ruby on Rails, Python, or Go
- Prior experience working as a Software Engineer a plus
- Experience working at a rapidly scaling SaaS start-up
- Empathy towards technical users and Software Engineers
- A strong track record of presenting highly technical topics
- A clear passion for both creating software and engaging live communities
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment
