About FairShake

FairShake is building the future of consumer law by giving everyone the power to understand and assert their consumer rights

Job Description

FairShake is looking for enthusiastic, mission-driven, entrepreneurial law students to help build on-campus awareness of our brand and of consumer law issues more generally.

FairShake is building the future of consumer power in the United States. We help everyone access the power and leverage of legal process so that they are taken seriously and treated fairly when they have a dispute with a big company like a bank, ISP or wireless provider. We are a high-growth start-up with a big vision of the future. We have already helped thousands of consumers resolve disputes and win compensation from 20+ major companies, and are backed by some of the most prominent seed-stage investors.

We’re a small, thoughtful, entrepreneurial team coming from backgrounds like Harvard Law School, LegalZoom, Lyft, Lime, and YC startups. We prize flexibility, scrappiness and curiosity, and are driven by a desire to build a more transparent, efficient and just economy.

• Work directly with the Head of Marketing to design and execute FairShake's strategy for gaining on campus awareness and increasing web presence
• Reach out to student organizations and faculty on your campus and others to facilitate Radvocate participation in academic and extracurricular events and publications
• If it interests you, contribute content to FairShake's website and externally
• Build expertise on consumer law, an area critical to public policy but rarely given in-depth coverage in top law schools
• Gain exposure within an innovative and fast-moving legal tech company
• Flexible work hours with the ability to dial up and down your commitment at your discretion

• Independent: You're able to autonomously plan your workstream and accomplish it, while knowing when to ask for help and guidance
• Results-driven: You think experimentally, making use of data and feedback to change course when something's not working and double down when it is
• Communicative: Skilled at written and verbal communication across a variety of audiences
• Empathetic: Toward FairShake users, teammates, and partners
• Inquisitive: Comfortable learning up quickly on new topics and operating in a constantly evolving context

• Currently enrolled in law school within the United States
• An individual with a track record of high achievement
• Experience with on-campus or real-world publicity campaigns, event production, and/or content generation is a big plus
• Eligible to work in the United States
