Description: As a full time, exempt, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week (M-F 8am-4:30pm). Occasional on call if necessary.
About the Facility: Deaconess Union County Hospital opened in 1946 and serves the Morganfield, KY community. Located just 40 miles southwest of Evansville, the acute care hospital has a 25-bed acute care wing as well as a 16-bed extended care facility. The Deaconess Union County Hospital offers 24-hour emergency department services, hospital based ambulance services, imaging services, physical therapy, and cardiopulmonary care. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
Requirements:
- BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- KY Pharmacist licensure in good standing
- Management experience in a healthcare/hospital environment preferred
- Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
- ​Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with Professional organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns and work cooperatively with other staff
