A focus on in-house produced and exclusive products through our print on demand facility has accelerated evolution of the sites away from traditional entertainment retailers towards growing Merchandise and Collectable markets – an area we plan to continue our investment in. We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to work alongside our Print on Demand team and ensure that all products delivered to customers are of the highest quality.
You will be an important key member of an ever-growing Print on Demand team. As Quality Control Manager you will work with our talented production team across a wide product range and lead a small team working to ensure the highest level of quality is maintained at all times.
Main Activities/Tasks
Work with production team to define gold standards and Standard Operating Procedures that are designed to maintain and uphold these standards
Define critical control points and ensure that all staff on production line are trained to complete basic quality control checks where required
To lead a small Quality Control team within our ever-growing Print on Demand function and ensure they can manage any incidents and make decisions when you are not on site
Define quality assurance checks and ensure that QA Lead for each shift is monitoring quality control across a wide range of items including t-shirts, mugs, soft furnishings, phone cases, shoes, hats etc accurately and efficiently.
Work with the production team to deliver improvements to minimise quality control fails
Look into RCA where issues arise and work with team to revise processes and procedures to reduce defects
Compile detailed reports on quality control misprints/faulty items and analyse reports and take corrective actions where required to address any quality issues
Requirements
To be considered for this role you should have the following:
Experience in production of printed products
Experience leading a small Quality Control team
Excellent attention to detail
Good communication/interpersonal/organisational skills
A positive and enthusiastic attitude
Ability to build a rapport with staff at all levels of the operation
Strong IT skills
Strong commercial acumen
Good at working under pressure,
Capability to managing your time and your team's time effectively, prioritise and solve problems
Ability to drive positive change
Transport to get to our site in WA15
For this role you will be working Monday - Friday Days most weeks but flexibility is required as you will also have direct reports on night shift that you will need to have contact time with.
