Job Description
Position Summary: Manufacturing Technician provides daily support of processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals. The technician works with engineering to develop and improve manufacturing processes and works to implement changes. The technician will be responsible for qualifying, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment. Additionally, the technician may assist production team with manufacturing, as needed.
Core Job Responsibilities:
• Supports production to meet production goals
• Creates, updates, and maintains manufacturing & equipment documentation
• Performs equipment preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Supports Quality with equipment calibration as needed
• Assists with process development and validation activities
• Helps transfer new products into manufacturing • Interfaces with vendors, as needed
Requirements:
• Associate degree in a technical field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical device industry preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to work across the organization
• Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities against aggressive deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality
• Must have excellent problem solving skills, ability to diagnose issues, find and test solutions
• Soldering skills; familiarity with electronics and electrical components a plus
• Experience with electromechanical devices and/or capital equipment a plus
• Experience with SolidWorks a plus
