Job Description
Hours: This per diem, nonexempt position will work each weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) from 7:00am - 11:00am.
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; and billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
About the Facility: Mayhill Hospital is a 54-bed private psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency care for adults and seniors. This is one of the few mental health facilities in the area that can provide care to those individuals with both coexisting psychiatric and medical conditions. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS. All pharmacy staff are CPS employees.
Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- The State of Texas Pharmacy Technician license in good standing.
- National PTCB Certification is required
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
