Job Description

Advano is seeking a results-driven laboratory technician to assist with engineers and scientists in the fabrication steps of lithium-ion batteries. This technician will be in-charge of mixing, coating and/or producing prototype coin or pouch cells.

Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

    Handling of chemicals and mixing equipment to produce proprietary slurries.
    Fabricating prototypes using equipment inside of a glove box.
    General housekeeping and upkeep of supplies.

Required Education, Experience & Desired Skills

    Experience handling and working with hazardous chemicals.
    Previous laboratory experience.
    Knowledge of general scientific equipment and lab operating practices.
    Meticulous attention to detail takes pride and ownership in their work and takes the initiative to problem-solve.
    Commitment to safety and workplace standards.
    Strong work ethic and integrity.
    Aptitude to learn, positive attitude, eagerness to make a difference.
    Strong communication skills, time management and an interest in science and/or chemistry
    Has a do-whatever-it-takes attitude, thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, and is capable of delivering project deliverables on time.
