Job Description
We are seeking a unicorn to join our industry leading technology team co-founded by the former CTO of salesforce.com. Our technology stack includes Java server technologies, NoSql, Github, single page JavaScript web techniques, and patent-pending analytical methods on top of MongoDB and AWS.
As the Director of Engineering of our Buenos Aires engineering team, you will be responsible for the execution and growth of the entire team. You have 15+ years of experience as a hands-on engineering leader, recruiting top talent and building high performing teams to deliver enterprise-grade applications and data pipelines. You also have experience scaling the operations of a co-located office in Argentina and are passionate about building an inclusive culture that focuses on collaboration and technical excellence. You have worked with engineering teams headquartered in the US, and understand what it takes to make a remote office work successfully.
Desired Skills & Expertise
Experience building and scaling high performing engineering, data and quality teams with a focus on building mission critical enterprise SaaS applications and modern data pipelines to power insights and predictive analytics
Well versed in the logistics around operating and growing a team in Argentina
Experience collaborating with US based product companies to deliver value iteratively using Agile and Scrum methodologies
Track record of hiring and retaining top talent
Experience with managing a team of 30+, including mentoring and growing managers
Champion good engineering practices, such as test-driven development, thoughtful code reviews, automation, etc.
Foster a healthy and collaborative culture
Contribute regularly to both technical and product strategy
