About Govini

Govini transforms the business of national security through data science and machine learning.

Job Description

We are seeking driven, outcome-oriented Mission Managers to join our Mission Solutions  team.  Mission Managers are responsible for delivering solutions to the data challenges presented by the most senior leaders of the U.S. national security enterprise.  They are creative, entrepreneurial, and can see the big picture. Responsible for leading teams, they also roll up their sleeves and will wear many hats to lead the team to success.  Mission Managers are responsible for planning and managing projects and putting Govini data and software in the hands of government users. They are passionate about our users’ success and ensure excellence in delivery, ranging from answering tough analytic challenges to collaborating with Govini’s Product team to incorporate  market demand and user needs into Govini’s offerings.
To succeed in this job, you must understand people, care about technology, and have business acumen.  You like people -- a lot -- and are eager to find ways to help them succeed. You are comfortable in board room meetings presenting ideas, making compelling arguments, and maintaining flexibility in thought to recognize someone else may be right.  You bring the conversation back to what matters, and prioritize resources to ensure goals are met. You are conscientious and detail-oriented. You’re excited by connecting people and sharing ideas. You like to play devil’s advocate and ask the “What if?” and “How do we fail?” questions.  You regularly assess individual and team performance to reduce cognitive biases and refine products and internal processes.

Scope of Responsibilities

    • Client Engagement, Account Management and Platform Utilization
    • Own senior-level client relationships
    • Translate client and prospect business challenges into software use cases
    • Own Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and contract renewals
    • Drive adoption and persistent use of Govini’s solutions
    • Identify and scope potential expansion opportunities within existing accounts
    • Possess a deep understanding of client workflows, including their organization’s missions and the constraints within which they operate, in order to drive user adoption in the platform
    • Elicit user requirements through discovery process to drive the evolution of the Govini platform
    • Support cross-office initiatives in sales and client success as a Govini product expert
    • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in key knowledge areas, such as national security strategy, federal budgeting and procurement processes, and government contracting
    • Planning, Execution and Delivery
    • Lead complex analytic, data, and software projects
    • Oversee project execution of quantitative and qualitative analysis to ensure delivery exceeds client expectations, while balancing business resources
    • Present findings in concise and compelling manner to executives
    • Regularly assess individual and team performance to reduce cognitive biases and refine products and internal processes

      • U.S. Citizenship is required
Required Skills
      • MBA or advanced degree from a top-tier institution
      • 7-10 years of experience in engagement and project management, preferably within the technology industry
      • Strong business acumen, excellent professional demeanor with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone without hesitation
      • Referenceable history of exceptional performance in client management, project management, or as an account executive
      • Detail-oriented with outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills
      • Ability to manage multiple work-streams and projects from start to finish, to learn quickly, and to work independently with little supervision
Desired Skills
    • Experience within software product life-cycle and implementations
    • Current possession of a U.S. security clearance or the ability to obtain one
    • Experience with the nuances of a startup environment
We firmly believe that past performance is the best indicator of future performance.  If you thrive in ambiguity, are a self-starter, and care about solving technology problems in the national security domain, we’re eager to hear from you.
