Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer capable of thriving within a rapid development environment. We are a lean, focused team building a world-class platform for data generation for autonomy. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Parallel Domain’s core communication API, used to integrate our sensor data platform within a multitude of simulation environments. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of experience and is eager to jump in, research, and implement innovative techniques to move our technology forward. This position is based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

REQUIREMENTS

3-5+ years professional experience building and shipping complex software systems built in C++
Experience designing and implementing APIs for large scale distributed systems
Experience working with network communication libraries (ZeroMQ, ...)
Collaborative attitude, humble, and eager to make a large impact

BONUS POINTS

Experience working with low-latency video encoding APIs and libraries
Experience working on multiplayer network game engines, both at the system and game level
Experience with techniques for managing latency in distributed simulation applications

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

Drive the development of Parallel Domain’s core communication API’s - providing the core interfaces that enable our technology to be integrated within a variety of simulation environments
Work closely with customers to surface API needs, and to adapt our technology into a variety of different workflows
Implement a variety of solutions for managing internal agent state in response to API requests, coordinating the encoding of streaming video data and other relevant technical challenges
