KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and support 24×7 production databases as well as development databases to ensure maximum availability of database resource for various applications.
• He should perform the DBA related tasks in key areas of System Administration, Database Administration, Backup, Archive & Restore Management, Performance Management & Reporting.
• Perform Performance monitoring and tuning, Strategies defined for backup/recovery techniques, and problem determination and resolution.
• Defines and enforces best practice database, query, and data security standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience : 4+ years

Location : Bangalore

• Works with Data Architect, Business Intelligence and programming staff and clients to identify data requirements toward creating logical and physical database designs.
• Utilizes strong database administration experience and technical expertise for creation, management, ongoing maintenance and monitoring of diverse database implementations (MySQL, influxDB, MongoDB).
• Familiar with tool-sets and practices that optimize implementations, performance, and scalability of growing databases and data intensive applications to ensure 24×7 availability.
• Defines and enforces best practice database, query, and data security standards.
• Works with Systems Programming staff to ensure hardware configurations, clustering, replication, compression and currency of database versions are optimal and promote stability.
• General programming and scripting abilities like Perl, Python and Shell scripting
• Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover(Disaster recovery)
• Install upgrades and patches for DB.
• Develop database utilities and automated reporting
• Implement load balancing and failover capabilities
• Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements
• Performance Tuning of database parameters after review of software configuration and Recommendations for infrastructure enhancement.
