Job Description
Full-stack engineer
What we’re looking for:
- You’ve built, deployed and maintained a Ruby on Rails application in production
- You prefer your code well-tested (and written in RSpec)
- You are comfortable in a UNIX environment. Sometimes Bash is the answer.
- Experience with automating provisioning servers with Chef, Ansible, Puppet or any other configuration / management software
- You’re familiar with PostgreSQL, Solr and Redis data stores
- Enjoys pair programming and a collaborative environment
Bonus points:
- Experience with Solaris or SmartOS
- Experience configuring nginx or HAProxy
- Experience with replicating or sharding databases
- You have looked at slow queries and made them faster
- You have looked at slow web requests and made them faster
- You have experience with Docker
- You've taught yourself everything you know
- You've got a side project that you've developed or are developing
