What the job involves

This senior quality manager role is ideal for someone who thrives in a cross-functional environment and enjoys driving improvement. You'll be the quality champion, overseeing the entire product lifecycle and customer service, and working with various teams to identify and fix issues. You'll not only solve problems but also implement solutions that prevent them from happening again.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee quality from initial concept (use cases/issues) to post-deployment, ensuring all stages (design, development, testing) meet high standards. Define clear "done" criteria for each stage.

  • Lead the development and execution of project-specific quality plans that translate customer requirements into measurable quality targets. Collaborate with the Growth team to maintain clear communication with customers regarding quality.

  • Proactively identify and address customer quality concerns. Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, etc.) to investigate root causes and implement effective solutions. Ensure customer SLAs are consistently met.

  • Work effectively with various departments to develop and execute solutions for quality issues. Foster a team environment focused on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Identify opportunities to improve product development processes by analyzing past experiences (lessons learned). Champion the implementation of these improvements to enhance future product development cycles.

  • Provide regular reports to leadership on the status of unresolved quality issues and the progress made on continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality issues throughout the product lifecycle. Manage the entire audit lifecycle, ensuring all findings are documented, reported, and result in successful corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in either quality management or relevant experience applying technical skills to ensure quality in the entire product lifecycle, complex systems or processes.

  • Product development experience with both software and hardware components.

  • Proficiency in system and software development processes and methods (preferred).

  • Quality Tools: Experience with configuration management, test management, defect management, and requirements management tools.
