Job Description

We're not your traditional technology company. And we’re not looking for traditional technologists. We’re looking for the rock stars. The outliers. The driven. The optimists who engage and influence others. The ones who believe there are always faster, simpler, or just plain better ways to do things, with ideas that capture our imagination and leave us thinking of the possibilities long after the meeting has ended.

Responsibilities:

As the Technical Program Manager (Hardware), you will be responsible for managing hardware-centric programs for advanced computer vision and telemetry systems with hands-on contribution as well as coordination across multiple disciplines and functional groups. You will need to be able to identify and lead areas requiring continuous improvements for programs involving hardware while executing end-of-life strategy and working cross-organizationally with Operations, Service, and Engineering teams. You will report to the Director of Hardware Engineering while coordinating deliverables with the Software TPM and Supply Chain & Logistics. Further, you will work with internal teams to define requirements and schedules. In this position, it is crucial that you communicate and work effectively with teams located globally including company leadership, marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and customers.

For this role, you need to be organized and actively participate in managing hardware engineering programs to define and drive the execution of the technology development roadmap for computer vision/telemetry products. While working on programs, you will need to monitor schedules, risks, and simultaneously be the driving force that will lead activities to meet program goals and deadlines. You will be in charge of organizing program planning, weekly meetings, reports, and presentations as well as improving processes to help identify and mitigate program issues and risks. You will shepherd industry defining programs from conception to delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Program-, Product-, or Project Management work experience in a Hardware and/or Systems Engineering-related role, with extensive experience in Hardware Program Management
  • Deep understanding of program deliverables and schedule management for product development life cycle including product data management: broad understanding of cross-functional team member roles, responsibilities and deliverables (Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, UX/UI, Firmware, Reliability testing, Operations-->Procurement, Logistics, Distribution)
  • Deep understand of Systems Engineering principles in product development and sustaining engineering
  • Ability to manage external partners: prototype and manufacturing vendors, installation partners, regulatory agencies, and other needed partners

Jump into this ground floor opportunity with the team; help shape the strategic direction of the company. You will have opportunities to get to know your team better through frequent employee events and gathering. Surround yourself with sharp, motivated co-workers in a fun office environment. There are endless learning and development opportunities from a highly diverse and talented peer group, including experts in a wide range of fields (AI, Computer Vision, Government Contracting, Systems & Device Engineering, Operations, Communications, and more)!
