Job Description

The Materials Coordinator will support the flow of materials from suppliers through production and out to customers.  This position is responsible for the accuracy and security of Element Science inventory both physically and electronically. This person will perform receiving, material issues, and shipping activities. This position will also issue parts out to engineering and perform all data entry transactions based on training. As time allows the Materials Coordinator will support other departments in pursuit of the company goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup the Stockroom/ Warehouse
  • Perform Receiving, Material Issuance, and Shipping
  • Execute inventory cycle counts
  • Investigates and reconciles all work order variances in collaboration with cost accounting
  • Monitors and manages reconciliation of all aged work orders
  • Support Facilities, Operations & Clinical Departments as required
  • Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations
  • Ensure that all internal policies are followed
  • Understand the job specific quality system procedures and processes as defined in the Training Matrix and adhere to the requirements listed in those documents. If any of the procedure or process requirements are unclear or ambiguous, it is the responsibility of the employee to notify his/her supervisor or Quality Assurance
  • Maintain corporate confidentiality at all times

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 2+ years related industry experience performed
  • Medical device experience preferred  
  • Must be creative, take initiative, be able to prioritize and negotiate priorities, maintain a hands-on approach, and also multi-task
  • Knowledge of NetSuite or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software programs is a plus

Compensation: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
