Job Description

The Sr. Electronics Technician will be part of the electrical engineering team and help enable hardware development of life saving biomedical products. This individual will work on multiple aspects of development including board bring up, rework, characterization, test setups, and lab management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support construction of test equipment that include assembly and wiring.
  • Perform benchtop testing including interpretation of results.
  • Trouble shoot potential setup errors.
  • Perform soldering and rework on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Manage procurement of lab equipment including vendor management, shipping, and storage.
  • Order materials and maintain an organized, clean lab environment.
  • Provide support for engineers.
  • Suggest ideas to help solve issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
  • 4+ years experience in similar role working on complex electronic products.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical circuits, components, and schematics.
  • High proficiency using test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, benchtop meters, power supplies).
  • Experience debugging analog and digital electronics.
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Self motivated, responsible, and enjoys learning.
  • Soldering experience with fine pitch components.
  • Good understanding on how to work safely and efficiently in the lab.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with coworkers and external vendors.

  • The salary for this exempt-level position will be based on experience and qualifications within an established pay range.
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000.
