LetsGetChecked is looking for a Buyer Planner to join our team. You will be a key member of the Supply Chain team and contribute both operationally and strategically to the development of the direct materials supply base to meet the needs of the site(s).
Be able to perform capacity planning and schedule planning for the Laboratories based on anticipated customer orders plus sales projections
Sources, purchases and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials and related material through production and inventory processes.
Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services
Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders
Ensure inventory levels are maintained at appropriate safety stock levels to meet production requirements
In collaboration with the Operations team, Quality & Compliance; co-ordinate & manage the supplier and materials selection process with supplier agreements and contracts put in place when & where applicable
Ensure that all material delivery schedules are communicated to the suppliers on time in order to meet planned requirements
Monitor performance of suppliers
Enters data concerning inventory and order amounts into a computer database
Participate on cross functional projects team to support details of procurement requirements
What we are looking for…..
3rd Level Qualification required - Technical, Manufacturing, Business or relevant experience
2-4 years’ of relevant experience
Experience working with SAP
Clear understanding of budgeting / forecasting and effects of cost savings
Excellent communication, negotiation & problem-solving skills
