ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)

The Assignment…

We are looking for a world class molecular biologist/genomics development scientist to join the R&D group as Senior Scientist. The successful candidate will bring their knowledge of molecular biology and NGS library prep techniques for the development and completion of multi-omics single cell projects.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May direct research associates in either a direct or matrix management arrangement.

  1. A PhD in Genomics / Molecular Biology / Cell Biology / Biochemistry or associated fields with at least 5+ years of industry experience.
  2. An excellent good understanding of general principles of chemistry and biochemistry.
  3. Experience with a range of genomic, molecular and cellular biology techniques.
  4. Experience working with NGS library prep protocols, genome editing; gene expression technologies such as arrays or real-time PCR.
  5. Experience planning, executing and documenting validation, verification and guard banding experiments.
  6. Experience transferring technology processes to manufacturing and scale up of protocols.
  7. Detail oriented with experience troubleshooting genomic protocols, writing SOPs and transferring of documentation.
  8. Experience with single-cell technology and/or microfluidics platforms would be a definite plus, but not required.
  9. Ability to work independently, design experiments and manage projects.
  10. Knowledge of NGS data analysis principles.
  11. Excellent skills in team communications, documentation, organization and analysis.
